What have we been learning in room 28?

Wow! it has been a busy term! We would like to share with you what we have been learning in science in room 28.

We have been learning about the different groups animals belong to.  Some animals have characteristics that are the same.  We have been looking at some of the special features animals have and why they are grouped together.

We know that reptiles have cold blood, scales and they lay eggs.  Crocodiles, alligators, lizards, turtles and tortoise are reptiles.

We know that birds have feathers and wings.  We know birds have beaks and they lay eggs.  Birds have warm blood like us.

Did you know that you are a mammal?  Animals with hair, fur or wool, warm blood and live babies that drink milk are mammals.

We also know that animals live in lots of different places all over the world.  This is called their habitat.

But there are more groups to investigate!  Get mum and dad on board and see if you can find out information about some of the other animal groups there are.
