Communicating through the news!

Room 27 have looked at how people use newspaper articles to effectively communicate different ideas or problems. We read the Zoo Olympics book and saw that the reporter had reported the winners of each event all wrong! To fix this mistake we decided to make our own newspaper to correct his mistake and to tell our readers who actually won each event.

We got to practise being a newspaper reporter on this website Communicating Ideas. It taught us about the different parts of a newspaper, like a heading, picture and caption. It showed us how important it is to make sure your story has correct information, interesting ideas and that it needs to tell people something.
